The auction is run solely by Colin Whitehead and his partner, Alison. Colin has been in the stamp trade for 46 years; starting his stamp career at Stanley Gibbons as an Office Junior in 1964 and progressing through the Company to become Managing Director of Stanley Gibbons Ltd. Colin was instrumental in establishing SG's successful post bid stamp auctions - they still run today. Colin left Stanley Gibbons in 1987 to set up his own postal stamp auction. His area of expertise is GB & the British Commonwealth with a reasonable knowledge of Foreign stamps. Alison, as a former Chairman's PA, brings her secretarial and administration skills to the business.
Apart from running the postal stamp auction we regularly attend stamp fairs with a very extensive stock of modern FDCs, packs, and booklets, and collections.
Colin is a member of the Philatelic Traders Society and the South African Philatelic Dealers Association.
